Mary M. Kistler Nov 13, 1914 - Dec 24, 1997 Mary Margaret Kistler, 83, of South Ironwood, South Bend, Ind., died at 11:32 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 24, in St Joseph's Medical Center. She was born on Nov. 13, 1914, in Boswell, Ind. She had lived most of her life here in South Bend.

Margaret retired as the book-keeper and office manager from the Hamilton Body Shop after 30 years of service.

She is survived by her sister, Iness Welling of South Bend; her nephew, James E. Welling of South Bend; two great-nephews, Paul E. Welling and James E. Welling, II, both of South Bend; a great-niece, Anne Alsip of Terre Haute, Ind.; and by one great-great-nephew, Jonathan Alsip, II, of Terre Haute. 

Margaret was a member of the First Christian Church of Mishawaka, Ind., where she for-merly directed the choir for many years. She was a past Noble Grand of the Schuyler Rebekkah Lodge and was a present member of the Rose Croix Lodge. She was a past member and president of The Blind And Sighted Workers of St. Joseph County. Services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 435 S. Ironwood, where friends may call two hours prior to service time. Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery.
