MISHAWAKA - Mildred F. Dittrich, 96, of Mishawaka, died at 10:40 p.m. Friday (July 1, 2011) at the Sanctuary at Holy Cross in South Bend. She was born Oct. 10, 1914 in South Bend to Clarence & Lillian (Genrich) Patterson. On Jan. 1, 1935 in South Bend she married Harold A. Dittrich. He died on March 17, 1996 in South Bend.

Surviving is a daughter, Jo Ann (Max) Schneider of Decatur, MI, 1 son, Larry R. (Marie) Dittrich of Mishawaka, 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 1 brother, Eugene Patterson.

Mildred graduated in 1932 from Riley High School in South Bend. She attended the Osceola United Methodist Church.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday (July 6, 2011) at Zimmerman-Inman Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Pastor Robert Vale from the Osceola United Methodist Church will preside. Cremation will take place and burial will be at a later date in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
