Joe Phillip Pinney

SOUTH BEND — Joe Phillip Pinney died Saturday, November 16 in Tempe, AZ. He was born in Wabash County, Indiana on July 24,1912 to the late Ice! (Brown) and Freeman Pinney. His only sibling, Lloyd, died in 1959.

On July 8, 1939 he and Evelyn Goheen were united in marriage at St. Paul's Memorial Methodist Church, South Bend. She preceded him in death in 2002. He is survived by two daughters, Kaylyn (Pinney) Kramer of Los Angeles and Nancy Jo Pinney of South Bend.

Cremation has taken place; in keeping with his wishes, no funeral or memorial service is planned. Memorial donations may be made to the Northern Indiana Center For History, 808 W. Washington Street, South Bend, IN 46601.
