Looking forward to seeing his Savior face to face, Donald E. Ringer, 90, of Filbert Road, Mishawaka, Ind., went home to be with the Lord at 9:50 a.m. Monday, Aug. 2. He was born on Sept. 29, 1913, in Plymouth, Ind., to Ora and Inez (Dreibilbis) Ringer. He married Louise Hopper in 1934, and she preceded him in death.

He is survived by two brothers, Art (Ruth) Ringer and Harold (Jean) Ringer; three sons, Donald L. (Dorothy) Ringer, Philip A. (Annette) Ringer and Edd W. (Esther) Ringer; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. One brother, Carl Ringer, preceded him in death.

He graduated from Riley High School, and worked many years for Reliable Dairy and Farmers Dairy. After retiring he worked at K-Mart and helped at Ringer's Service Center. Don loved music, and in his youth played the violin in the orchestra at the 1st Brethren Church in South Bend, Ind., and at many other areas. 

He was a faithful member of Twin City Baptist Church where he taught Sunday school and served as a deacon for many years.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, in Twin City Baptist Church, Division/Jefferson Blvd., Mishawaka. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6, in the Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson Blvd., South Bend, and from 10 a.m. prior to the service on Saturday in the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Twin City Baptist Church, 420 E. Jefferson Blvd., Mishawaka, IN 46545.
