Merlin "Marilyn" D. (Shirk) Elliott

Marilyn D. Elliott. 63, died at 7:15 a.m. Sunday in her residence after an illness of several years. She was born on Feb. 28, 1914, in South Bend and lived here most of her life. From 1937 until 1945 she lived in Elkhart.

On May, 30, 1937, she married C. Devon (Don) Elliott, who survives, along with two sons, Gary Lee. with the Navy Band in Washington, D.C.; and Ronald Douglas of Boston; a daughter, Mrs. Suzanne Walters of Tampa; four grand-children; and two brothers. Forrest W. Shirk of Battle Creek. Mich., and John M. Shirk Jr. of Niles.

Services will he at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Forest G Hay Funeral Home, 435 S. Ironwood, Charles R. Barrington. pastor of Donmoyer Church of Christ. officiating. Burial will be in Rice Cemetery, Elkhart. Mrs. Elliott was a retired secretary from the law firm of Bingham, Loughlin. Means, Mick, and Myers, Mishawaka. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
