Walter J. Sigler

Mr. Walter J. Sigler, 77, died Wednesday evening after a short illness at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen. He was born in South Bend, Indiana and had lived in the Valley Area for 5 years and had just moved to Mission permanently in May of 1990. Before living in the Valley area, he had lived in Austin, for 20 years. He was a member of the Men's Golf Club at Meadow Creek in Mission, Texas and was a retired Plagt Mahager with Bendix Corporation in South Bend, IN.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Sigler of Minion. three sons, Timothy Sigler of South Bend, Indiana, William Sigler of Denver, Colo., Steven Sigler of Austin, Tx., one stepson. Paul Knuckman of Marquette, Mich., two sisters, Bertha Henchman of Noblesville, Ind. and Marie Miller of Beaumont. Tx., 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

The family will greet friends at Kreidler Memorial Chapel on N. Taylor Road at 9 a.m. Saturday Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. at Kreidler Memorial Chapel. Officiating will be Father Frank Clancy. Burial will follow at Valley Memorial Gardena Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Roy Bass, Dave Butler, Jim Criscione, Al Zimmerman, Nat Taylor, and Fred McMillen. Honorary pallbearers will be the Men's Golf Club at Meadow Creek Country Club in Minion.
