SOUTH BEND -- Gerald H Rookstool, 81. of Fox Street, died at 8:02 p.m. Thursday in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Mr. Rookstool re-tired in 1993 from Dutron Corp. after 43 years of service. He was born May 6, 1914, in South Bend. On May 15, 1937, in South Bend. he married Alberta Pluehoff. She survives with a daughter, Carol Hillman of South Bend: and a granddaughter. Laura Hillman of Houston.

He was a member of Community Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge 45. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Burial will follow. There will be no visitation. Hollis-Orvis- Palmer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
