Harrison W. Talcott Jr.

SOUTH BEND — Harrison W. Talcott Jr., 77, of Chipstead Drive, died at 11:26 a.m. Wednesday in Memorial Hospital after an illness. Mr. Talcott retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a clerk after 15 years of service and was employed by the former Studebaker Corp. for 29 years. He was born March 31, 1915, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident.

On June 26, 1937, in South Bend, he married Marjorie C. Corner. She survives, with two sons, Harrison W. II of South Bend and James E. of Moreno Valley, Calif.; three grand-children; and two brothers, Arthur S. of Mishawaka and Eugene R. of South Bend.

He was a member of Timberland Bible Church, St. Joseph Masonic Lodge 45, and Scottish Rite Valley of South Bend.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home, where a Masonic service will be at 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
