Deane A. White

NILES — Services for Deane A. White, 67, of 2603 Lake Shore Drive, will be 11 a.m. Monday in the Halbritter Funeral Home where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Rev. Arnold O. Schaap of Edwardsburg will officiate. Burial will be Riverview Cemetery, South Bend. He died Thurs-day morning in Pawating Hospital after a brief illness. Memorial contributions may be made to the Niles Community Library. lie was born on Jan. 1, 1915, in South Bend and lived his lifetime in the area.

On June 12, 1965, he married Amy Gonyon Walker in Niles. She survives with two daughters; Mrs. Roger (Mary Ellyn) Kempton and Mrs. Robert (Connie) Corwin, both of Niles; four. sons, Patrick White and Donald White, both of Niles, Delwyn Walker of LaPorte, Lloyd Walker of Niles; 18 grand-children; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Stanley of South Bend.

White was a retired general manager of a local trucking company and a member of the Niles Elks Lodge.
