Frances V. (Compton) Shultz

95, of Greenwood, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away February 18, 2012. She was born December 28, 1916, in Kewanna, IN, to the late Fieldon and Grace Wiesjahn Compton.

Frances was a 1935 graduate of Riley High School, South Bend. She married Jerome K. Shultz, and he preceded her in death in 1960. She earned her LPN degree in 1961, and was a LPN for Community East for over 30 years, retiring in 1991. Frances was a longtime member of Irvington United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be Friday, February 24, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 12 noon at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel , 9606 E. Washington St.

Frances is survived by her children, Larry J. Shultz (Julia) and Lee A. Shultz (Patti); son-in-law, William Martin; grandchildren, Randall Swineford, Dianna Kaminski (Mike), Steven Shultz (Angie), Dawn Whitaker (Tracy), Sydney Newton (Kevin) and Trenton Shultz (Elvia); sister, Hazel Wallace; 16 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Geraldine K. Martin; a grandson, Donté Swineford Lewis; and two sisters, Erma Musgrave and Mildred Starosta, also preceded her in death.
