SOUTH BEND - Robert Ceasiel Barham, "Rob," resident of South Bend, Indiana, passed away from this life on May 12, 2011, from an extended illness. He was a lifetime resident, born on March 8, 1959, to the union of Ceasiel and Pattie (Flowers) Barham. Both parents preceded him in death.

Robert attended Riley High School.

He married the love of his life, Patricia A. Herron, on September 5, 1991.

Robert loved doing charity work in the community helping others. Also, Robert enjoyed volunteering, doing maintenance work at Revelation Church of God In Christ until his failing health. There was nothing Robert would not try to repair. He was an all-around handyman. Robert was very passionate about his hobby working on cars. Robert was cherished and will be remembered for his service in our community for helping others.

Robert is survived by a daughter, Elisha (Chikondi) Matekesa; three sisters, Mary Flowers, Christine Ottbridge and Juanita Flowers; one brother, Tommie (Vivian) Flowers, all of South Bend, Indiana; four special nephews, Tim (Jackie) Ottbridge Jr., Maurice (Charlotte) Ottbridge, Shelfanta Godwin and Andre Owens; nephews, Michael (Shirley) Warren, Larry (Veronica) Warren of Seattle, Washington, Cottie (Jeraldine) Flowers of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; one special niece, Nedenia (Jerry) Mitchell of Seattle, Washington; nieces, BeLinda Watts, Shirley (Wesley) Godwin, Vanessa Ottbridge, Viola (James) Comer, Priscilla Jackson of Atlanta, Georgia, Gayle (Stevie) King of Chicago Illinois; and a host of great-nieces, nephews, and cousins. Two devoted friends, Mr. Clarance White Sr. and Clarance "Bubbie" White Jr.

Robert was also preceded in death by one sister, Mamie Warren; a niece, Robin Ottbridge; a brother-in-law, Tim Ottbridge Sr.; and one aunt, Kathrine Jones.

Services for Robert Ceasiel Barham will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2011, in the Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home Inc., 2702 Lincoln Way West. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m., and then services at 12 noon. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Visit our website at www.clarkoneal.com to sign his guestbook.
