Eloise P. (Andrews) Dominion

MONROE, IN - Eloise Pearl (Andrews) Dominion was born September 9, 1916, in Monroe, Indiana to Floyd and Minnie (Marshall) Andrews. She spent her early years in Indiana and Michigan with parents Charles (step-father) and Minnie Dill. She married Bob Sylvester and sang with his band during the 1940's. She divorced him and returned to Sisters Lake, Michigan. .
On June 27, 1953 she married Louis Dominion of Benton Harbor, Michigan. They lived in Dowagiac, Michigan until retiring to Englewood, Florida. Louis died in 1995 and she moved back to Mishawaka-South Bend area to be near relatives.
Eloise graduated from Riley High School in 1935.
She worked at the Studebaker Office; Indiana Club of South Bend; and restaurants run by her mother. With health changes she spent time at Shamrock Gardens Assisted Living and then at Regency Place of South Bend.
Family survivors include Maxine Nova; Michael (and Liza) Nova; Thomas and Denise Nova; Ethel Coleman; Wilma Smiechowski; Carol Ann Dominion; and godchildren, Gregg (Annie) Kaufman and Diane (Lee) Holmes. She was preceded in death by her parents. The family wishes to thank all the loving and kind personnel at Regency Place and Hospice.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 5, 2007, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive. Friends may call for one hour prior to services on Saturday in the funeral home.
