Juli Ann Chmiel
Jan. 20, 1960 - Oct. 9, 2012
MISHAWAKA - Juli Ann Chmiel, resident of Fountain View Place, Mishawaka, IN, passed away Tuesday afternoon, October 9, 2012. Born January 20, 1960 in South Bend, IN, Juli was the fourth and youngest child of a close-knit family, whose grandparents on both sides were European immigrants living nearby. A robust and energetic child, Juli was from the start intensely and vitally eager to be part of whatever was going on.
She graduated from St. Casimir Grammar School and attended Riley High School of South Bend.
She was an active member of several local churches, including Christian Center. She was converted, baptized, and acquired the gift of speaking in "tongues" and intercessory prayer. She found her element and her solace in church music and joined the choir. She volunteered enthusiastically at church fund-raisers, and won an opportunity to travel with them, accompanied by her aunt, on a tour of Israel. She was preceded in death by her father, Leo Chmiel, and is survived by her mother, Gizella Chmiel, her brothers and sister, Andrew Chmiel, Stephen Chmiel, and Rose Hardcastle, three nieces and one nephew.
Visitation will be held at the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue, on Friday, Oct 12 from 5-8 pm. Funeral services will be held at the Zahoran Funeral Home on Saturday, October 13 at 3:00 pm. Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery. To leave a online condolence visit our web-site, www.zahoran.com or our facebook page, Zahoran Funeral Home.
