Kenneth V. Emerick

Kenneth V. Emerick, age 99, of South Bend, died peacefully at 5:40 am, Friday, April 24, 2015 at Hospice House, South Bend after a short illness. He was born May 8, 1915 in Warsaw to Oscar Ray and Dessie Alice (Linn) Emerick.
Mr. Emerick lived most of his life in South Bend. He was a graduate of Riley High School in South Bend. He was a WW II Army Veteran.
On November 11, 1945 he married Mary E. Teeter in Syracuse, IN. She preceded in death April 19, 2000.
Mr. Emerick was a member of American Legion Post #284 in South Bend and the South Bend VFW. He was also a member of NRA. Mr. Emerick had worked in experimental Engineering at Bendix for over 30 years.
Surviving is his son, Kenneth Emerick, South Bend and a granddaughter, Amber Marie Emerick, Phoenix, AZ. He was preceded in death by a sister, Juanita Johnson and brothers, Norman , Robert Oscar, and Donald Emerick.
Family and friends may call from 4-8 Wednesday, April 29th at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm Thursday, April 30th at the funeral home. Burial will be in South Union Cemetery with Military graveside services by Nappanee American Legion. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice House
