SOUTH BEND - Kalyn Anthony Farmer "Nunu," 21, of South Bend, Indiana, was welcomed to his new home by his Heavenly Father on May 6, 2012. Kalyn was born on June 1, 1990, in South Bend, Indiana, to Beau Taylor and Mavis Rogers. Nunu was charismatic, loving and kind. Kalyn's motto was "Family First." He was a joyful spirit, and loved to joke around with family and friends. Nunu was the type of person who would do anything asked of him. He was an avid dog and car lover.
He attended Riley High School and was also enrolled at Ivy Tech. He was employed at the University of Notre Dame in the Food Services Department. Kalyn will be sorely missed by his family.
He leaves to cherish his memories a son, Tralyn Taylor of South Bend, Indiana. His parents, Mavis Rogers of South Bend and Beau (Valerie) Taylor of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Maternal grandparents: Doris Rogers and great-granny, Mary D. Martin; Paternal grandparents: Lonnie (Charlotte) Taylor, all of South Bend, Indiana, and Annie Farmer; a brother, Royce Farmer, both of Grand Rapids, Michigan; three sisters: Jalia Farmer of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Mikala Davidson and Breazya Sleepers, both of South Bend, Indiana; eight aunts: Erica Rogers, Jackie Selmon, Marilyn (Esaw) Harris, Sherrie Selmon, all of South Bend, Indiana, Leneé Farmer, Madrid Farmer, Madria Farmer, all of Grand Rapids, Michigan; four uncles: Melvin Rogers, Carl Selmon, both of South Bend, Indiana, Steven (Nicole) Farmer, Patrick Farmer, all of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Carlos Taylor of Muncie, Indiana; special cousin, Marcus Ward; along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and his girlfriend, Cristina Skillon.
Preceding him in death were an uncle, Michael Selmon, and two cousins, Kevin Rogers and Khiry Walker.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 11, 2012, in the Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home, 2702 Lincoln Way West, South Bend. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. and services at 12:00 noon.
