SOUTH BEND - Richard G. Fischer, 69, passed away at 4:07 p.m. on Monday, December 28, 2009, in Memorial Hospital. Richard was born on August 8, 1940, in South Bend, to the late Raymond and Genevieve (Walker) Fischer. Richard is survived by his sister, Gloria.

Richard graduated from Riley High School and IUSB with a degree in psychology in 1982. He worked in computer operations.

Family and friends may gather in St. Patrick Catholic Church from 9 to 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 31, 2009. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. in the church on Thursday. Inurnment will be in Guardian Angels Columbarium in St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice or to the St. Vincent DePaul Society. For those who are unable to attend the funeral Mass, condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
