Sharon grew up in South Bend and attended Riley High School.

Sharon Elaine was by far the best mom, grandmother and friend you could ever have. She was very generous, kind, a giving and caring person. She always put everyone's needs before herself. Elaine was a great cook, a wonderful homemaker, and took great pride in how well she did them. She loved to go fishing with Ralph. She loved to walk; walking was her favorite thing to do, to be outside and enjoy the freedom and beauty of the outdoors. She loved her dog Max, her little Max, and missed her dog, Cass. Her children and grandchildren were her great loves in life, and are what gave her the desire to continue on these past few years. She was our great love, our safe haven, our barometer of right and wrong. Though she still had Great Spirit and feistiness, her body could no longer go on. We will miss her and continue to learn from her and love her every day of our lives.

A celebration of Sharon's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 24th, in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Friends may visit with the family two hours prior to services. As per her wishes, she will be cremated. E-mail condolences may be sent to welshfh@yahoo.com.
