SOUTH BEND - Clyde McCoy, affectionately known as "Poppy," was called home to be with the Lord after a lengthy illness on Monday, May 20, 2013. Clyde was born October 31, 1952, in South Bend, IN, to the union of Clyde and Mae Eliza (Overstreet) McCoy Sr., both of whom preceded him in death.
He attended Studebaker and Riley High School and was employed by Burkhart Signs and Stripco, Inc.
Clyde leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Ranita Brown McCoy; four daughters, Candyce (Chase) Barber, Maui "his sidekick" McCoy, Yasmee (Shane) Peters and Kemba (Antonio Martin) Jennings; one sister, Pearl Lloyd; three brothers, Johnny Reed, Fred (Sandra) McCoy and Anthony (Essie) McCoy; and five grandchildren; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at Sweet Home Ministries Church, with viewing occurring one hour prior to services.
