Aremen J. "Joe" Micek

MISHAWAKA - Aremen J. Micek, 75, of Mishawaka, IN., passed away in his residence on January 15, 2014. Aremen was born on June 3, 1938 in McDonald, Kansas to Valerian and Elizabeth (Pavlicek) Micek, who both have preceded him in death. Aremen was also preceded in death by his brother, Harold and a grandson, Jared.
Aremen is survived by his children, Marilyn Rouselang, Sargent Micek, Donna (Micek) Hicks, Richard White and Stacy Franklin, his sisters, Rita White, Betty Wharton and Darlene McCall, nine grandchildren, Paul, Ashley, Skyler, Danielle, Ricky, Doug, Haley, Krysten and Frankie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Joe, as he was known to family and friends, was a graduate of Riley High School in South bend, IN.
He was an avid fisherman and had a passion for Notre Dame football. Joe retired from Nordam in Tulsa, OK, after more than 35 years of faithful service and enjoyed many years on his ranch in Claremore, OK before returning to the South Bend area.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, January 21, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, where funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 22, with Rev. Ervin Mize officiating the services with burial to follow at Highland Cemetery in South Bend. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Crime Stoppers, 701 West Sample Street, South Bend, IN 46601.
