Matthew J. Miholick

Matthew John Miholick. 53, of 2315 Inglewood Ct., a South Rend teacher for 15 years, died at 6;30 a.m. today in Memorial Hospital 'after a long illness. Mr. Miholick was a teacher at Centre Elementary School. He received his master's degree from the University of Notre Dame. Born on Sept. 9. 1914, in South Bend, he had resided here his lifetime.

On June 21, 1947, in South Bend, he married Ruth Burke, who survives. Also surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Matthew A. Miholick of South Bend; a son, James R.. at home: three daughters, Marla J., Carol A. and Peggy A.. all at home three sisters, Mrs. Ernie Clubine of Niles, and Mrs. Robert E. Reiter and Mrs. Irvin J. Manusak. both of South Bend.

Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at the Welsheimer Funeral Home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Holy Cross Catholic Church; Rev. Walter Higgins. C.S.C., pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. A veteran of World War II, he was a member of Holy Cross parish; Father Nieuwland General Assembly, Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus; St. Anthony's Sick Benefit Society and the South Bend Coaches Assn. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
