Robert N. "No-No" Willis

SOUTH BEND - Mr. Robert Nolen "No-No" Willis, 49, a resident of North Sheridan Street, South Bend, Indiana passed away at 9:45 a.m., Saturday, October 24, 2009 in his residence following an illness. Robert was born to the union of Robert Lee and Ruby (Otterbridge) Willis on December 1, 1959 in South Bend.

He graduated from Riley High School in 1978.

Mr. Willis was employed as a factory welder and also as a janitor for Information Records Company until his health failed. Enjoying life to the fullest, his favorite hobbies were dancing, playing chess, working cross-word puzzles, spending time with family and friends, as well as being an avid Notre Dame Football fan.

Those that will cherish his memory include his companion of 19 years, Artricia "Pat" Johnson, affectionately called "Boo" by Robert; two sons, Eric Lewis and Robert Willis Jr., all of South Bend; three stepdaughters, Vanessa Wilson, Francine (James) Wheeler and Dorene (Keith) Davis; seven grandchildren including, Michael, Patrice and Keith; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Theresa (Sherman) Wills of Indianapolis, IN, Zola (Ronald) Harris and June Willis of South Bend; three brothers, Ruben of Ft. Wayne, IN, Alvin Willis and Frank David Willis of South Bend; aunts, Christine Otterbridge and Louise Willis both of South Bend and Lillie Mae Cuttingham of Elkhart, IN; and a special nephew, Wesley Godwin; his best friend, Rennie "Blue" Rogers, along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Loved one's who preceded him in death along with his parents include a brother, Christopher Lee, an aunt, Cane King, uncles, Tim Otterbridge, Henry Otterbridge, Matthew Otterbridge, Vernell Otterbridge and Reverend Walter Willis Jr., a step father, Charles Albert Parker and a special cousin, James Gates.

The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice who cared for Robert during is final days.

Services for Mr. Willis will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 3l at Alford's Mortuary where arrangements have been entrusted. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Messages of condolence may be e-mailed to alfordsmortuary@comcast.net c/o Willis Family.
