Harry Zillmer, 85, of Victoria Street, South Bend, Ind., was found dead at 5:30 p.m. sin Monday, Feb. 9, in his resIdence He was born on Aug. 19, 1912, in South Bend, and lived here most of his life. Services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, with Rev. Ed Fritz officiating. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the Forest 6, Hay Funeral Home, 435 S. Ironwood. Mr. Zillmer retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church and of the Model Railroaders Club.

Mr. Zillmer served in combat duty with the First Armored Division in Africa in 1942, during World War II. He was active in the invasion of the Anzio Beach Head and was honorably discharged in 1945. Memorial contributions may be made to the Faith United Methodist Church.
