Michael F. Bruns

Services for Michael F. Bruns, 27, of Birmingham, Ala., formerly of South Bend, who died at 11:35 p.m. Monday, Jun. 30, 1986, in Birmingham as the result of injuries suffered when he fell from the back of a pickup truck, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 52803 U.S. 33 N. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or SL Jude's Children's Hospital.

Mr. Bruns was employed as an engineer at Hayes International in Birmingham. He was born Nov. 22, 1958, in Clovis, N.M.

Surviving are his parents, Ruth and William F. Bruns of South Bend; two sisters, Kathryn A. Pallatin of Cleveland, N.C., and Rosemarie L. Apple of South Bend; and his maternal grandparents, Hulda and Julius Timm of Alpena, Mich. Mr. Bruns was a graduate of Riley High School, Alabama Aviation and Technical School in Ozark, Ala., and Troy State University. He was a student in the Birmingham School of Law and was a member of Gamma Beta Phi.
