Julie E. Breen, 75, of North Liberty passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend.
Julie was born on September 22, 1947 in South Bend to the late Everett W. and Dorothy E. (Nall) Nimtz.
Julie was a registered nurse and worked in cardiology at St. Joseph Hospital in South Bend. Julie was loved by her patients and her fellow staff members. She then worked at Madison Center in South Bend.
Julie married Kenneth L. Breen on August 6, 1999 in Walkerton and they shared 12 years together before his passing in 2011.
Julie is survived by her sister Susan (Craig) Hartzell of South Bend, brothers; John (Carolyn) Nimtz of Florida and Tom (Monica) Nimtz of South Bend. Also surviving are her nieces Angela Parra, Carla Stewart, and Laura Lagano and her nephews; Thomas Heitger, Cory Breen, Sean Breen, and Chris Breen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday December 17, 2022 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church; 63568 US 31 South, Lakeville. Family and friends may gather from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
