H. Theodore “Ted” Noell, 84, passed away, unexpectedly in his home on Tuesday, March 16th with his wife by his side.

Ted was born in South Bend on November 14, 1936 to the late Chester (Chet) and Lillian (Dale) Noell. Ted was the valedictorian of the Class of 1955 from Riley High School and went on the Indiana University and the University’s School of Law. He was an attorney for over forty-seven years at Noell & Associates in South Bend. He also served as Mayor Lloyd Allen’s Chief Assiistant City Attorney for the city of South Bend and Assistant City Attorney for Mayor Robert Beutter for the city of Mishawaka.

On October 19, 2002 Ted married Annette H. Sikorski-Dembinski in South Bend. Annette survives along with his daughter, Kimberly (John) Garrison of Cloquet, MN, son, Barry Noell of Indianapolis, IN and grandchildren, Jaydn and Jessie Garrison. Ted is also survived by his step-daughter, Kathy (Paul, Jr.) Futa of North Liberty, IN and step-grandchildren: Steven (Dominque) Futa, Stephanie (Luke) Carter, both of North Liberty and step-great-grandchildren, Bryce, Bridgette, Bailey, and Sophia Futa, Scarlett and Elliott Carter and a brother, Charles (Cap) Noell of Cassopolis, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents and step-daughter, Karen Dembinski in 2006.

Ted was an avid reader, history buff with a strong interest in politics. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #45 and an avid supporter of DeMolay-Rainbow Clubs, Elks Club and 50-year member of Rotary Club.

The family would like to thank Dr. Jose Bufill for his care and genuine concerns.

The family of Ted would like memorial contributions be made in his name to either: Chiara Home, INC, 1425 Clayton Drive, South Bend, IN 46614 or Logan Center, 2505 E. Jefferson Blvd., South Bend, IN 46615.

A private service will take place in at Hanley and Sons Funeral Home “Southwest Chapel” in South Bend and burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery South Bend at a later date.

The HANLEY and Sons Funeral Home “Southwest Chapel” is handling the arrangements, services and extends its deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to Ted’s family and friends
