Patsy Joan Cain May 20, 1932 - Nov. 3, 2014 SOUTH BEND - Patsy Joan Cain, age 82, of South Bend, Indiana, passed on November 3, 2014 at 1:10 am in Cape Coral, Florida, after a short battle with cancer. Joan was born to Florien McGraw and Mabel Longenecker on May 20, 1932 in Warsaw, Indiana.

She graduated from James Whitcomb Riley High School and attended some college.

She loved everything craft related: knitting, crocheting, ceramics and home d‚cor among other things. She also loved playing cards, puzzle books and every type of animal. Joan was a very loving and giving person who loved her family immensely and enjoyed spending time with them.

Joan married Alva Hubert Cain on June 21, 1973 in Mishawaka, Indiana, who preceded her in death on February 8, 2010. Joan was previously married to Robert Eugene Butz who also preceded her in death.

She is survived by her children: Randy (Joanne) Butz, Roberta (Brian) Forray, Steven (Angela) Butz, Jon (Deborah) Butz, Jacqueline (Dwight) Finn as well as her step-children: Bert (Brook) Cain of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Mickey Duioto of Osceola, Indiana, Michael Cain of Niles, Michigan, Janice (Ron) Lovell of Ishpeming, Michigan, Vickey McCory of Niles, Michigan, and Bob (Sherri) Cain of Orlando, Florida. Also including sisters-in-law: Beth Quick of Orange Beach, Alabama, and Alice Nelson of Buchanan, Michigan. She also had 87 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Joan was preceded in death by her father: Florien McGraw, mother: Mabel Longenecker, husband: Robert Eugene Butz, husband: Alva Hubert Cain, step-daughter: Carol (Ronald) Burger, and grand-son: Patrick Butz.

Memorial services to be held at South Bend First Church of the Nazarene located at 51690 North Ironwood, South Bend, Indiana 46635 on Saturday, November, 15, 2014 at 2 pm by Pastor Andy Lauer. She was cremated at her request. Memorial contributions to be made to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) or Hope Hospice of Cape Coral, Florida (www.hopehospice.org).
