Janice Diane (Green) Baum

Janice D. Baum, 75 of Kings Court, Mishawaka, In, passed away at Memoial Hospital, South Bend, following an illness. She was born May 2, 1936 in South Bend, IN to Gerald and Evelyn (Fredrickson) Green who both preceded her in death.

She was a graduate of Riley High School in South Bend.

She married Robert Baum in South Bend on July 7, 1956. He died July 23, 2002. She is survived by her children, Robert (Diana) Baum of Mishawaka and Barb Baum of Hillsboro, OH. Also surviving are her sisters, Nancy Nevelle of Portage, MI and Carol Everly of Huntington, IN; two brothers, Jim Hansen of South Bend and Eric Hansen of Granger, IN. She is also survived by her dog, Greta.

Janice was employed by Countryside Place Health Care in Mishawaka as an Activities Assistant until her retirement. She also was an avid Notre Dame fan and also a fan of NASCAR and the Green Bay Packers.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 14 at Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka, where friends will be received one hour prior to the service. The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Pet Refuge or to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, 2600 Netrwork Blvd., Suite 300, Frisco, TX 75035.
