John "Jack" Louis Schwind

May 23, 1936 ~ March 21, 2023       86 Years Old

John “Jack” L. Schwind, 86 years old, passed away at 6:10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Brickyard Healthcare, Elkhart.  Jack was born on May 23, 1936 in South Bend to the late Leo and Helen (Crawford) Schwind.  He has remained a lifelong resident.  On September 21, 1957 at St. Monica Catholic Church, Jack and the former Marjorie V. Bobinecz were united in marriage. 

Along with Marge, his loving wife of 65 years, Jack is survived by their two sons, Leo Schwind of Colorado Springs, CO and John Schwind; his adopted grandson, Anthony Moon of Lakeville; and his brother and sister-in-law, James and Karen Schwind of Fort Wayne.

Jack retired from Honeywell Corporation.  He was the former vice-president of Clark Equipment and owned, along with Marge working side-by-side, Corporate Investment International.  He also formerly owned Wholesale Printing in South Bend.  Jack has been a faithful member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Lakeville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 63568 Old US Highway 31.  Rev. Greg Abuya will celebrate.  Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may begin visiting with the family beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at church.  Palmer Funeral Home, Lakeville, is assisting the family.
