Jacqueline Dee (Riddle) Schricker
October 10, 1935 – April 1, 2023
Jacqueline D. Schricker, 87, of Niles, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at West Woods of Niles. She was born in South Bend, Indiana on October 10, 1935, to the late Frank and Dorothy (Geiger) Riddle. On October 24, 1953, Jacqueline wed Ronald L. Schricker at a ceremony in South Bend, Indiana.
Jacqueline worked as a phone operator at Indiana Bell for several years and then spent over thirty years at Garvey Pattern Company then finished her working career at W. J. Haggerty where she was a credit manager. She was a gifted painter, and an avid reader and will be remembered for her beautiful voice. She owned The Homecoming Floral Shop in Dowagiac for many years. Jacqueline flew planes and enjoyed time outdoors camping and canoeing. She grew amazing gardens filled with flowers, vegetables, and herbs.
She was preceded in death by her parents Frank Riddle and Dorothy Swartz; her husband, Ronald Schricker; a brother, Lanny Riddle and a sister, Sue Wishman. Jacqueline is survived by her son, Mark (Georgia) Schricker of Osceola, Indiana; a daughter, Marla (James) Stanton of Edwardsburg; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and her family will be remembering her privately.
