Susan Marie Carrico
July 29, 1952 ~ September 16, 2021 (age 69)
Susan M. Carrico, of South Bend, passed away at the age of 69 in her home on Thursday, September 16, 2021 surrounded by her loving family while watching her favorite show Jeopardy. She was born on July 29, 1952 in South Bend to the late Charles J. and Dorothy E. (Hodal) Duff, where she remained a lifelong resident.
Susan was a special soul with a unique character about her. She adored spending time with her family and especially her grandkids. With her forever companion by herside, her dog, Elsha she would spend nights watching Jeopardy with the family but Saturdays in the fall were set aside for her beloved Notre Dame football. In Susan’s eyes nothing came before Notre Dame Football, and we can be certain she will now have the best seat in the stadium.
Susan is survived by her daughters, Sabrina G. (Jason) Morris of Mayfield, KY., Jennifer C. Davey of South Bend, and son, Jacob A. Kaser of South Bend, along with her four grandchildren, Haley and Brittney Morris of Mayfield, KY., Cayden Wendell and Autry Kaser both of South Bend, and three great-grandchildren, Gabe, Karsyn, Nathan. She also leaves behind her sisters, Judith (Dale) Keltner of South Bend, Molly (Kel) Hough of Columbus, OH, and brothers, Patrick (Connie) Duff of Columbia City, IN., Michael (Yan) Duff of South Bend, and brother in law, Clark Lonergan of South Bend.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021 at Palmer Funeral Home – Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend. Friends may visit with the family beginning at 4:00 p.m. until the time of the services.
