Ronald Eugene Pinter

Ronald Eugene Pinter

November 17, 1938 ~ February 23, 2022 (age 83)

Ronald E. Pinter, of Osceola, passed away at his home on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at the age of 83.  Ronald was born on November 17, 1938, to the late Frank and Mary (Velez) Pinter in South Bend and remained a lifelong resident of the area.

On November 1, 1958 in Niles, MI he was united in marriage to Gwendolyne Benner, who survives.

He was a graduate of Riley High School and retired from Lithotone in Elkhart, where he worked as a printer.

Ronald was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on January 2, 1960 and was a faithful member of both the South and North Mishawaka Kingdom Halls of Jehovah Witnesses, serving as an elder for well over 50 years. He was well known for his kind and caring personality.

Each month, for 62 years, Ronald volunteered as a Bible educator, teaching his family and anyone he met that God’s Kingdom provides the only real solution for peace and security on the earth. This Bible-based belief in a future paradise earth, which he looked forward to enjoying, gave him a strong hope. He also loved sharing this hope with others.

Ronald’s faith was very important to him, just as important was his family. He dedicated his life to his family and enjoyed taking trips to Fort Myers Beach each year with them, where they have fond memories of playing in the ocean while Ron would sit sunning himself by the pool.  Ronald was a wonderfully kind man, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who will be dearly missed.

Surviving is his wife of 63 years, Gwen, daughter, Ronnette (Michael Stoutenburg) Pinter of Mishawaka, son, Randy Pinter of Osceola, and grandson, Marcus Riley Pinter Stoutenburg.  He is also survived by his sister, Marilyn of South Bend and was preceded in death by his brother, Frank and sister-in-law, Arlene.

Visitation for Ronald will be held from 2 – 4 p.m. on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at Palmer Funeral Home – Welsheimer Chapel, 17033 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN 46635.  A private family service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 6, 2022, the family invites those who wish to attend to watch via the zoom link provided.
