SOUTH BEND, IN – Douglas C. Reid, 81, of South Bend passed away on February 11, 2019 at the Harcourt Terrace in Marion, IN.
He was born on November 8, 1937 in Chicago, IL to the late, Douglas C. & Anne (Olsen) Reid.
On August 24, 1968 he married Judith A. Fiedler, she passed away on June 10, 2009.
Douglas is survived by his son, Sean (Kelly) Reid of Bristol, IN, a daughter, Leigh (Evan) Miller of Indianapolis, IN, five grandchildren: Sophia, Jared, Joshua, Addison and Miles. Also surviving is a sister Karen Lynch of South Carolina.
He worked for over 30 years as a clerk for the Untied States Postal Service. He also proudly served in the Navy, from 1955 to 1958, where he received an honorable discharge.
A private graveside service will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in the spring of 2019.
