David L. Gleason

David L. Gleason, 81, of South Bend passed away on Friday August 19, 2022 at his home.
David was born on April 21, 1941, to the late John and Gertrude (Hoffman) Gleason in South Bend. He would spend his whole life in South Bend.
David met the love of his life; Evangeline Liechty and together they were married on July 16, 1960. Together they had 4 children.
David was a South Bend school teacher his whole life and held a Master’s degree. He coached several sports and loved vacationing in Hayward, Wisconsin.
David is survived by his wife; Evangeline Gleason, daughter; Tracy (William) Weaver of Granger, and sons Thomas Gleason and Timm Gleason of South Bend. Also surviving is his brother Tom (Pat) Gleason of Wisconsin. 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren also survive.
David was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Theresa Grunden, and his brothers Jack Gleason and Phil Gleason.
Services for David will be held on Wednesday August 24, 2022 at Palmer Funeral Homes-Guisinger Chapel located at 3718 S Michigan St. South Bend. Visitation will be held from 10am-12 pm with funeral service at 12 pm. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, South Bend.
