Carol Ann (Marchbank) Longbrake

Carol A. Longbrake, 87, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2016 at Southfield Village. Carol was born to Charles and Florence (Peterson) Marchbank on November 6, 1928 in Toledo, Ohio. Carol spent most of her adult life in South Bend.
She married Richard Longbrake in 1950 and together they had three children. Surviving Carol are her daughter, Karen (Erick) Kuehn of Cape Coral, FL and her son Jay Longbrake of South Bend. She has three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, James (Sonja) Marchbank of South Bend. Carol was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Kristine Ruthrauff.
Carol graduated from Riley High School in 1946. After retiring from AM General in 1991 as an Assistant Supervisor, she enjoyed going on cruises and visiting casinos, where she was lucky most of the time.
A Memorial Service will take place Monday, May 16, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Palmer Funeral Home – Guisinger Chapel; 3718 S Michigan Street, South Bend, IN. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
