Joseph W. Nafrady

Joseph W. Nafrady, 46, of West Calvert Street, died at  1:45 a.m. today in Memorial Hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack Monday. He was an employee of the Bendix Corp. He was born on March 7, 1927 in South Bend, and had lived here all his life.

Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Mary L. Nafrady, with whom he resided; his father, Joseph Nafrady of South Bend; and two brothers, John E. and Robert E., and a sister, Mrs. Rosealice Rolko, all of South Bend.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Zahoran Funeral Home where a rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday by the Sacred Heart and Rosary Society of Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church. A rosary will also be recited by the St. Ann Society of the Church at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church, Msgr. John S. Sabo, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.

Mr. Nafrady was a member of the St. Anthony Society of the Church, and Post 272, the American Legion. He served in the Army during the Korean conflict, receiving a Purple Heart.
