Barbara (Phelps) Bassett

BASSETT, Barbara Elaine
Passed away in her Woodland residence March 28, 2006 at age 77. She was born in Warsaw, Indiana February 18, 1929. Barbara graduated from James Whitcomb Riley High School in South Bend, Indiana.

She was a resident of Woodland for the past 28 years and was a real estate broker for 25 years. She directly and frequently provided food and clothing to the homeless and less fortunate.

Survivors include her sons, Randy, Craig and Terry, all of Woodland; grandchildren, Brian, Casey, Michael, Stephen and Shannon.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Lester Bassett; son, Kelan Bassett; and brother, Richard Phelps.

A memorial graveside service will be held at 11:00am April 7, 2006 at the Woodland Cemetery, West at Cross Streets, Woodland. Memorials may be directed to the Woodland Wayfarers Center, 201 4th St., Woodland, CA 95695. McNary's Chapel, 458 College St., Woodland assisted the family with arrangements.
