Robert L. Schriver
Robert L. Schriver Dec. 13, 1928 - Jan. 3, 2015 SOUTH BEND - Robert Lewis Schriver passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015 at his home in South Bend, IN. He was born on December 13, 1928 in South Bend, IN to Frank and Fern (Gilnet) Schriver. On June 22, 1951 in Mishawaka, IN he was united in marriage to Patricia Tedrow Schriver.
Robert graduated from Riley High School and served his country honorably in the United States Army until 1949.
He worked for Burroughs Corporation, retiring in 1984 after twenty-nine years of service. Robert is survived by his wife, Patricia Schriver; children, Scott (Renee) Schriver of South Bend, IN, Stacey Nadeo of Mishawaka, IN, Shawn (Milford) Hustell of Noblesville, IN and Samantha (Kenneth) Weaver of Mishawaka, IN; eleven grandchildren, Thomas (Stacie) Christian, Ryan Schriver, Kyle (Andrea) Schriver, Kari (Scott) Robinson, Adam (Jessica) Weaver, Nikki (Shawn) Higgs, Emily (Zack) Loudin, Kayla (Michael) Lindenmuth, Meghan (Josh) Warren, Chase Weaver and Kaylee Weaver; nine great-grandchildren, Cody Robinson, Chloe Robinson, Aubrey Rager, Alexander Christian, Thomas Christian III, Pearl Weaver, Harrison Loudin, Kaelyn Higgs and Khylie Higgs; and sister, Norma (the late "Bud") Wilson of Bonita Springs, FL.
Robert enjoyed spending his last birthday with his grandkids and great- grandkids. He was a Pittsburgh Steelers and Notre Dame fan and an avid golfer.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St., South Bend, IN. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Wednesday.
