MARY CATHERINE VAN GILDER (”Dooty”) Mary Catherine, 83, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2005. She was born in Tampa, FL and raised in South Bend, IN. Mary attended Riley High School in South Bend where she was a cheerleader and worked at Studebaker as a secretary. In 1958 she moved to Palm Springs, FL. Mary Catherine was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church. She loved dancing and bowling.

Mary Catherine was preceded in death by her loving husband, Stanley, and her brother, James A. McKee of Minneapolis, MN.

She will be forever loved and missed by her loving and devoted children, James Van Gilder (Sheryl) of Gainesville, FL and Catherine Holt (Bob) of West Palm Beach, FL. She is survived by her brother, Paul McKee (Phyllis) of Boynton Beach, FL and six grandchildren, Michael Cromartie of West Palm Beach, Megan Van Gilder of Mount Kisco, NY, Tiffany Byrne, Adam Holt, Katey Fuller and Amy Turner.

A special thank you is extended to the associates of Lee Residence for their love and care.

Her family will receive their friends on Friday from 6:00-8:00PM at the funeral home. Her funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 11:00AM. She will be laid to rest immediately following services at Lake Worth Memory Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice of Palm Beach County would be greatly appreciated.
