Patricia A. (Ross) Goebel

June 20, 1925 - Feb. 7, 1998

SOUTH BEND — Patricia Ann (Ross-Silvers) Goebel, 72, of East Madison Street, South Bend, Ind., died at 8:15 p.m on Saturday, Feb. 7, in her residence. Mrs. Goebel was born in Mishawaka, Ind., on June 20, 1925, to Lillie Elbel Ross and Paul A. Ross. She was a lifelong area resident.

She is survived by a daughter, Candace L. Sommers of South Bend; two granddaughters, Robin C. Maethner and Heidie Leigh Sommers; a great-granddaughter, Aubree Christine Sommers; a great-grandson, Robert -Bobby" Douglas Sommers; and by a sister, Fern R. Pachika of Lakeland, Fla. She was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Glenn Silvers in 1994. 

Mrs. Goebel retired in 1980 after over 20 years with the Clark Equipment Company, Buchanan, Mich. She graduated in 1943 from Riley High School. She was a member of the Sunnyside Presbyterian Church and Riley Lunch Bunch.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 435 S. Ironwood Drive. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Sunnyside Presbyterian Church. Rev. James Miller will officiate. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County.
