Harry “Mac” Keppler
July 13, 1916 - Feb. 20, 1998
Harry "Mac" Keppler , 81, of Fox Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away following an illness on Friday evening, Feb. 20, in Memorial Hospital. He was born on July 13, 1916, in Kansas City, Kan., and had lived in the South Bend area for the past 70 years, coming from the Whiting, Ind., area.
Mr. Keppler was retired from the Stevens Oil-Ashland Oil Company where he worked as a delivery person for many years. He was also a World War II Army veteran.
Mr. Keppler is survived by his sisters, Nora Rupert of South Bend and Lois Schmitt of Granger, Ind.; and he was a beloved Uncle Mac to numerous nephews and nieces.
Mac was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Etah Keppler ; and by seven of his siblings, Opal Keppler , Josie Keppler , Arthur Keppler , Robert Keppler , Roy Keppler , Daniel Keppler and Edgar Keppler .
Graveside services for Mr. Keppler will be conducted at 11 a.m. today at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend, with the Rev. Jim Davidson officiating. Burial will follow.
Mac was loved by relatives and friends. He will be truly missed.
