Iris (Hoke) Hunjo

SOUTH BEND - Iris Hunjo, age 92, of Clio, formerly of South Bend, died June 28, 2012 at Fenton Health Care in Fenton, MI. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes Miller Rd. Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd. Iris was born February 8, 1920 in South Bend IN to Ira and Edna Hoke.

She graduated from Riley High School in 1937.

Iris was a cosmetologist for 57 years and had her own beauty college, Academy Beauty College, and owned 10 beauty salons in South Bend. She was a member of the First Christian Church in South Bend and President of the St. Joseph Valley Hairdressers Assoc. and the State Association. Iris was very involved with politics.

She is survived by her daughter, Frances Hunjo; her son, Michael (Jeri) Hunjo; granddaughter, Abby Hunjo; and grandson, Adam Hunjo.
