Frances Imogene (Vance) Hunter

Frances Imogene Hunter, 65, formerly of 3410 Mishawaka, died at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct 25, 1978, in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Brad (Virginia) Perry of West Union, W. Va., after a sudden illness. Mrs. Hunter was born on Jan. 9, 1913, in Bristol, Tenn., and moved to South Bend 52 years ago. As Frances Imogene Vance, she married Clifford Hunter on May 11, 1940. He died in March, 1976. Surviving along with her daughter are five grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Hardin Solbrit .and Mrs. Joseph Ritter, and a brother, Dr. Lynn Vance, all of South Bend.

Mrs. Hunter belonged to the Senior Citizens Club of West Union. Mrs. Hunter was employed by the J.C. Penney Co. for 15 years.

Services will be Saturday at the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 1201 S. Michigan: Rev. David Miller, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Mishawaka, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
