Rudolph Barkovich

SOUTH BEND - Rudolph "Barky" Barkovich, 97, of San Diego, CA, formerly of South Bend, died on July 14, 2011, in his residence. Rudolph was born on July 2, 1914, in South Bend, to Andrew and Julia (Berlakovich) Barkovich. He was a World War II Navy veteran, and was the owner of Golfer's Exchange.

On April 25, 1936, in South Bend, he married the former Ella Bagarus. She died on April 24, 1997. Barky was also preceded in death by his 5 sisters, Pauline Finne, Julia Joan Lehman, Anna Tompos, Catherine Horth and Mary Prikosovich.

Cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 am Friday, June 22, 2012, at Sacred Heart Cemetery. The Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue, is handling services.
