ROBERT W. MAURICE III. Funeral services were held at two o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Giant Funeral Home for Robert William Maurice III, forty-three years old, who died unexpectedly at 9:30 o'clock Wednesday night, May 8, 1957, at his home at 220 East Maple Street. Rev. Harold V. Schmidt, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran church, where Mr. Maurice was a member, officiated in the service and burial was in the Bremen cemetery. The American Legion conducted military graveside services.

Mr. Maurice was a son of Robert W. and Cora (Babcock) Maurice II and was born December 13, 1913, at South Bend. He had been a resident of Bremen for the past eighteen years and was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

His marriage to Frances Weston occurred June 21, 1936. Surviving relatives are his widow; his parents; one daughter, Mrs. Barbara Sundermeier of San Diego, California; three sons, Robert W. Maurice III of San Diego, and Richard Allen and Kieth Lamar Maurice at home; five sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Battles and Mrs. Ruth Murphy of South Bend, Mrs. Lucile King of Indianapolis, Mrs. Beatrice Smith of Elkhart, and Mrs. Annabelle Witte of Fenton, Michigan.
