SOUTH BEND — Services for Joseph Stephen Peters, 79, of Fairview Avenue who died at 10 40 pm Sunday in Ironwood Health & Rehabilitation Center will be at 10 a m Wednesday at St Matthew Cathedral. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p m. today in Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. where a parish rosary will be said at 4.

Mr. Peters was employed South Bend Lathe Works and by U & Postal Service as a clerk for 35 years. He was born April 13. 1913. in South Rend and was a lifelong area resident.

On Oct. 13, 1945, in South Bend, he married Hartulana Vuckis. She survives with a daughter Dawn Lukas of Bloomington, IN, two grandchildren. and a sister. Dorothy DiGann o( Mishawaka.
