Arthur J. Verhoestra

FAIRHOPE -- Arthur Joseph Verhoestra, 86, died Wednesday, June 5, 2002, at a local health care facility. He was a native of South Bend, Ind., and a resident of Fairhope. Verhoestra was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Fairhope.

He is survived by one daughter, Rosemary Verhoestra of Mobile; two sons, Joseph A. Verhoestra and Thomas F. Verhoestra, both of Fairhope; one sister, Frieda Carpenter of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; two brothers, Richard Verhoestra and Robert Verhoestra, both of South Bend, Ind.; one grandson and two great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Belforest Catholic Cemetery. The family suggests that memorials be made to Catholic Charities. Arrangements are by Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne.
