SOUTH BEND — Beverly F. Reed, 70, of Rue Voltaire, died about 2 a.m. today in her home after an illness. Mrs. Reed' was born Aug. 28, 1919 in Pontiac, Mich., and lived in South Bend most of her life. On May 29, 1948, in South Bend, as Beverly Fothergill, she married Jack A. Reed. He died Oct. 5, 1970.

She is survived by a daughter, Susan E. Reed of South Bend; a son, Jack A. "Tony" Jr. of South Bend; and two sisters, Marjorie Stoll of Paradise Valley, Ariz., and Dorothy Schuette of Lafayette, IN.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Junior League, Ser-vice Guild and Rainbow Girls, and was a veteran of World War It Services will be at 10:30 tin. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church. Cremation will take place with entombment at Riverview Mausoleum. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at McGann Funeral Home, 2313 K Edison Road. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc.
