Francis T. "Frank" Farrell

Francis T. "Frank" Farrell, 78, of West 9th Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away after an illness at 6:50 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 6, in Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center, South Bend, Ind. Mr. Farrell was born on July 12, 1921, in South Bend, as the son of the late Frank and Mary (Geldner) Farrell.

He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Bernice Burzynski in 1978 and Ruth Farrell in 1959; and by three brothers, Richard Farrell in 1964, William Farrell in 1985, and Charles Farrell in 1991. Mr. Farrell is survived by three sisters, Cecelia Gollatz of South ' Bend, Dorothy (George) Tekker of Osceola, Ind., and Elaine (Joe) DeNeve of South Bend; and by a brother, Roy (Theresa) Farrell of Elkhart, Ind. 

Mr. Farrell was a United States Navy veteran of World War II and had received a Purple Heart. He was employed by Wheel-A-Brator and Torrington.

Friends may call from 12 p.m., on Monday, Aug. 9, in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 9, in the funeral home, with Rev. Sheldon Grame officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, South Bend. Contributions in memory of Mr. Farrell may be made to the Cancer Society of St. Joseph County United Health Services, 711 E. Colfax Avenue, South Bend, IN 46617.
