Wilma A. (Zellers) Wilson
October 4, 1926 ~ December 10, 2022 96 Years Old
Wilma A. Wilson, 96, of Seymour, Indiana, passed away peacefully at 12am on Saturday, December 10, 2022, in the Catherine Kasper Home in Donaldson, Indiana, where she had resided since 2019.
Wilma was born on October 4, 1926, in South Bend, to the late Ralph and Mae (Trowbridge) Zellers. On October 4, 1957, Wilma married Robert Wilson, and he passed away in 1997. She was also preceded by a son, William Wilson.
Wilma is survived by her daughters, Nancy Wilson of Seymour, IN, Candy (Fabian) Susits of Tavares, FL, Kris Capes of Lake Placid, FL, Stephanie Lennox of Mishawaka, IN, and Janine Wilson of Albuquerque, NM; 8 grandchildren, Brian (Tiffany) Wilson of Aloha, OR, Jennifer (John) Williams of Sparks, NV, Aaron (Shannon) Wilson of Indianapolis, IN, Jolene (Jeremy) Lee of Seymour, IN, Cheryl Swan of Mishawaka, IN, Kris Capes of Lake Placid, FL, Lisa Capes of Houston, TX, and George Capes of Lake City, FL; loving cousins, Rich and Karen Warner of North Liberty, IN; ; 15 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Our mom was an avid and loyal Cubs fan. She followed Notre Dame football and followed Notre Dame women’s basketball. She loved golf and followed Tiger Woods. She retired from South Bend Supply after many years. She also ushered at the Morris Civic Center where she enjoyed all the diverse entertainment. Mom loved birds and flowers and once grew roses for Jackson Perkins. She loved to do any craft and her favorite was making and selling her greeting cards at many craft fairs. her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to The Hospice Foundation 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
There will be no services at this time. Wilma will be laid to rest at Southlawn Cemetery at a later date. Palmer Funeral Homes – Lakeville Community Complex is assisting the family with arrangements.
