Alice L. (Archambeault) Tharp

June 19, 1916 - March 21, 1998

MISHAWAKA - Alice L. Tharp, 81, of Virginia Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away following an illness at 2:36 p.m. on Saturday, March 21. She was born on June 19, 1916, in South Bend, Ind., and had lived in the area all of her life.

In 1934, as Alice Archambeault, she married Lawrence Dye. Following his death in 1958, she married Dewey Tharp in 1962. Dewey died in 1971. She was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Mrs. Tharp is survived by her children, John Dye of Mishawaka, Florence Erdelyi of Walkerton, Ind., Frances Bennett of Mishawaka, Alta Cook of Portage, Ind., Judy Dye of Mishawaka, Doiles Eckenberger of Mishawaka, Buddy Dye of Osceola, Ind., Mary Holdren of Mishawaka, Linda Riffle of Thayer, Mo., Larry Dye of Michigan City, Ind., Holly Dye of Mishawaka and Clara Wagoner of Granger, Ind.; 42, grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and by 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Tharp was a retired restaurant cook. A private memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street
